whirligig festival

Here we are at the very unique Whirligig Festival 2009. This a great little festival for the kids and kids at heart. We got to walk around and pick our favorite for peoples choice. Angelina liked the merri-go-round one. The church behind her is part of the movie set "Moby Dick". The 2011 Festival is September 17 & 18.

Brant Bird Flyaway
A spectical that has to be seen to believe. Every February thousands of Brant birds feed and nest off the flats of The Hawk Beach in Cape Sable Island. Every night at dusk the birds "flyaway" together out to sea for the night and create this magical show of birds.

The ladies of the local Christmas Club enjoyed a delicious meal at Charlotte Lane Cafe and returned to Boulder Cove for an evening of gossip, presents and wine.

Village Fairs are always fun for the whole family. You help support local fire departments if you attend and there are always locals who love to sit and have a yarn.
